The EthMBus-3SL SMART is an Ethernet-to-M-Bus converter for remote communication with M-Bus meters in building, home-automation and utility applications. It connects 1 to 3 M-Bus slave devices to an Ethernet network.

Two operating modes

• Transparent gateway: TCP or UDP communication with M-Bus devices, including server or client mode, backup IP addresses and DNS support
• SMART M-Bus server: the converter reads the meters independently, stores their data and provides web tables, XML, REST/XML, CSV, e-mail exports and FTP uploads

Applications

The converter is suitable for collecting consumption data from heat, water, gas and electricity meters over an existing Ethernet network. Verify meter compatibility, M-Bus addressing and the required export format before commissioning.
